i have two fighters that are my all time favorites....pernell whitaker and barry mcguigan.....mcguigan might be my favorite cause i grew up on him on abc sports....when he fought at home in ireland the crowds were like nothing ive ever seen in sports...he was able to for a short time bring together catholics and protestants in ireland.....he battled this cat juan laporte in one of the best fights ive ever seen

as far as big time fighters sweet pea was my man....he was floyd mayweather before floyd mayweather....drugs sullied his legacy but to this day hes the best fighter ive ever seen

Interesting - I am not too familiar with McGuigan.

I would go back to see Ali/Foreman Rumble in the Jungle.

I've always been an Iron Mike guy though...its a shame that he went off the reservation when he did. If he'd harnessed all that anger and kept it in the ring he would have surpassed Ali/Louis/Robinson as The Guy, I think. He was devastating.

Arturo Gatti/Mickey Ward clashes were memorable too

i was third row for mike and marvis frazier in glens falls ny....before mike got big....it was on abc sports...but he was still several fights away from the belt...i was mad young but to this day my pop still does the math and calls out how much he paid per second for the fight...if i remember correctly mike put him to bed in less than 20 seconds

gatti wards were insane...but they happened after i got out of boxing so they dont mean as much to me....i bet dh would pick one of them for his go back to and be at fight
