Okay, I'll play.

Handle: Zanshin

Name: Greg

Location: North Jersey for the last 13 years or so; originally from South Jersey.  Came up here for college and met my wife (a Giants fan  :paranoid), who inexplicably likes it up in this traffic-infested wasteland. :-[.

Where I post: Generally, only here.  Very occasionally at KFFL, though less so these days because of a lack of time.  I was one of the original posters on the old official board, before the idiots overwhelmed it.  I've been gthistle in each instance.  I prefer CF because of the good mix of smart football and goofy (but not entirely stupid) fun.  And most posts here are coherent, which is a plus. I lurk more than I post; I aim for quality over quantity...Not sure I always hit the target, but that's the idea.

Why I'm an Eagles fan:  Grew up that way, and my affiliation grew even stronger when I moved away-- I think I clung to the Eagles as my lifeline to home.  For years, I used to get abused at the sports bars every Sunday, which was fun-- but thanks to Sunday ticket, I can enjoy the Birds from the comfort of my own couch.  It's the best. The one nice thing about being away from Philly is that there's an instant kinship with other Eagles fans up here; sort of a "we're in this together" vibe.

I see hardly any neewbies here, but here I go anyway...

Name : DutchBird
Alias: Harm

Location: Delft, the Netherlands... that is about a 1 hour trainride to the airport, 8 hours flight, 2 hours wait for customs and 1 to 3 hours ride to the stadium (depending on where I land)...

What I am doing here: hanging around untill I have the money to go see a game at the new stadium in 2003 (and see a Flyers-game in the proces)...and keeping up with the news, while waiting for my hand to heal so I can play again... Used to post at the old official board, Mouthoff, and still post at KFFL... Also write game reports on those NFL Europe games I am able to attend, usually the Admirals game...most known player I have seen playing : Kurt Warner...most famous Eagle : David Akers... others: Jay Fiedler, Adam Vinatieri...

My wishlist for this year for the Admirals: A decent QB, decent CB´s and something resembling an O-line... Became an Eagles fan while attending Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, PA as an exchange student in 1996/1997...Most stupid thing I have done according to Americans: walk through downtown Philly around midnight after attending a Flyers-game..(I still do not understand what all the fuss is about)...
You have New York, we have Amsterdam
Just 15,000 Dutch beat out 90,000 Americans

With Timmy, one of three things is going to happen. Somebody is going to get hurt - it's either going to be him, an opponent, or one of our players.

Dutch it is ironic that Americans are able to look at the rest of the world as a dangerous and terrorist-filled environment, yet we don't trust our own cities as safe venues. To my mind, personal safety in the streets is one of the signs of a great city.

Name: I've been known as Johnny Walker. That'll due.
Alias: TexasEagle
Location: Texas... unfortunately
Why I'm here: Insomnia's a bitch. And reading the main boards lowers my IQ.

Comments: Eagle fan since birth since daddy-o was a coach and his team was... The Eagles. And let me tell you the joys of being an Eagle fan growing up in upstate NY... naw. Better yet, Genesis gaming moment: Playing at home, me vs the computer; Eagles vs. Cardinals. Eagles are at the 1 yard line. I'm lined up for a power rush. Garner in the backfield, Cunningham under center. Three hut count, Randy pulls out, I have him keep the ball so I don't risk a fumble and the corner is wide open. No one in sight. Randall sweeps left from the four. Three.... Two.... One... the pylon is in sight! But there's a defender closing fast. Jump Randall jump! He's airborne, arms extended, ball's at the goal line... he's hit in the armpit. FUMBLE! It's picked up by the tackler and returned 99 yards for a touchdown (closest guy other then Randal on the ground was 20 yards away). But I won the game anyway. God that play pissed me off. If they had trading I would have dumped Cunningham right that second. The pansy fumbles at the one inch line. Bah!

Cowboys sucks the fat one. Giants blow it. Skins fondle it. And the Cards wish they could touch it. But they are leaving the division so who cares about them. :flipoff

Cool thread. I gotta' start clicking here more often.

Why I'm here: I just love reading how Phillygirl is so much smarter than everyone else! :)

Comments: Grew up a Colts fan as a kid, thanks to my Dad and all his friends. It was a great time except for a guy named Bob Irsay. That guy was Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder rolled into one times ten.
After they left, I felt like a man without a country. But wait!...little did I know I was in high school with a future NFL player, whom I graduated one year behind in 1979. The Bodysnatcher, Jody Shultz, who I know no one here remembers, went to East Carolina, and then was drafted by the Eagles. My friends and I were now Eagle fans.
But the real fun was being there to watch guys like Randall Cunningham, Reggie White, Jerome Brown, and even Lawrence Taylor, John Riggins, Art Monk, and Phil Simms. The NFC East was the sh*t back then, and I fell in love with the Eagles big time.
I love coming here and talking about the Eagles and staying abreast of breaking news. If I had known I could get info like this, I'd have bought this PC a while ago.

GF, you da' man!

Why I'm here: Love talking Eagles Football, some humor, and always love a good debate.

Became a fan freshman year of high school- 1990. Before that about the only Pro Football I watched was the yearly Super Bowl gathering at Grandma's with the relatives. Football is year round for me. Free Agency, the Draft, and Training Camp interests me just as much as the regular season, but I guess nothing compares to Postseason and the Super Bowl.

I'm the fellow doing his best to turn CF into a family affair.  For those of you not in the know, Purple Hayz is my brother and FS'64 is my uncle (though they are not related - you figure it out).

I became hooked on football when I watched the 1982 playoff game between the Chargers-Dolphins.  Since my whole family are Eagle Fans, I kinda just slipped into to rooting for the Birds.

I attended my first game in 1987 when I saw the Eagles win a thriller in St. Louis 28-23 over the Cardinals.  I also had season tickets from 1990 - 1995, and picked them up again this year.

I like stats and analysis and don't like posters who pull opinions out of their ass.  If you want to make a statement like ... "Mcnabb sucks" ... you better be able to back it up with some numbers.

Why I'm Here: To talk with die-hard Eagle fans like myself.

Comments: I am a young eagle fan at the age of 15 and have been watching football since the days of Richie K. My parents have season tickets and I go to EVERY game. I've been to a few road games like...Dallas, Arizona, Green Bay, Jacksonville, Baltimore, Washington. My record for road games is a pitiful 1-4-1. The only win coming from the Washington game last year. This year I am going to the Tampa Bay game...looking to improve my record to 2-4-1. I also collect football cards.
