Glad Clarke didn't give up that much.

WOW!  That's a lot, but he IS the best defenseman in the league.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Washington Capitals signed free-agent enforcer Donald Brashear on Friday, adding some protection for star Alexander Ovechkin.

The 34-year-old left wing played for the Philadelphia Flyers the last four seasons, recording 648 penalty minutes, 22 goals and 44 assists. He led the Flyers in penalty minutes each of the last three seasons, including 166 in 2005-06.

Brashear played for Montreal and Vancouver over 12 NHL seasons. He's led his team in penalty minutes eight times, leading the league with 372 in the 1997-98 season.
