Well, 3% of it is in Europe.  And culturally, Turkey has more in common with Europe than just about any other Islamic nation.

The last 11 minutes of the Euro 2008 Germany/Turkey Semifinal today was incredible.  Three goals in the last including one with 30 seconds to go in regulation by Germany.

People who hate soccer are really missing out if they're not watching the sport at the highest level.

I watched the first half live at a bar during my 2:30-3:30 lunch break then watched the second half on ESPN Classic after I got home.  And then I watched porn for an hour and felt nothing remotely close to shameful about it afterward.

there was some kind of storm in vienna so the entire worldwide feed was knocked out like 3 times in the final 20 minutes.  basically when all of the scoring happened.
