not as bad as florida because nothing can touch that humidity...kinda reminded me of texas heat more than anything. id be at a football practice in august and would sweat through my shirt 5 minutes in.

but theres a reason nobody vacations to houston or brown town
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PhillyPhreak54

Yep.

It's funny to watch the replies to people in the houston subreddit who ask what there is to do here. Nothing. Other than sweat.

Rome

It has been incredibly hot and oppressively humid here this year.  We usually get afternoon or early evening thunderstorms to cool it down but not this year.  It's awful.

Anyway, I'm glad Todd got to see Europe a little.  And banging an Iranian hottie sounds nice for him as well.

Sadly without pix we can't really believe him, but imaginary Hoyda is always nice too!

PhillyPhreak54

Banging foreign Hoyda and taking a pic in Eagles gear at a renowned historical site.

I feel like a proud pops

On the plane to Cancun. Our first real vacation since Covid.

We are staying at an all inclusive just south of the city in a town called Playa Moreles.

Can't wait to get there and drink my face off

Close. Raheem Mostert and Five Fo. A raucous threesome.

My lady. Been together for awhile now. She's from Wilmington DE and we met down in TX.

The kicker was those useless TSA clowns kept my bag to rummage through it for some reason. We landed at 2. They paged us to tell me no dice and it'll be on a later flight. It just got delivered and they tore through it. I have no clue what could've caught their eye? Literally clothes, shoes, toiletries and sunscreen.

Scumbag losers.

PhillyPhreak54

Have met a few Eagles fans down here though. One of our bartenders saw my hat and came over to talk. He's only been to the US twice but has been following the Eagles since the Randall days.

Don Ho

Cancun back in 93 and we had a blast. Wife and I dating at the time but company paid trip - bitch and a half to get to Cancun form Hawaii back than but we loved it.  I drank tequila and corona the whole week. At the time it was safe and the people were great. Water was spectacular. The food was amazing and I am a huge history buff so I enjoyed the Mayan and Yucatan history.  Have fun J!
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

PhillyPhreak54

Thanks Don we had a blast. The only regrets was that we couldn't stay longer.

Excellence Riviera Cancun is where we stayed. All inclusive adults only joint. The value was great.

It was funny bc due to the resort being a bit south from the main Cancun hotel strip the water looks more like Jersey shore Atlantic Ocean water than tropical paradise. People bitched about it bc it wasn't crystal clear and had a fair amount of seaweed. Didn't bother us bc we are use to the NE beaches.

Wish we could go back for two weeks. We will probably go back in May.

Heading to Denver/Colorado Springs for the week for a work event.

Never been out there so I'm looking forward to some nice chilly weather and non-Houston scenery.

Not many non-East coast places I could ever live but Denver is on the short list.  Great city.

Never spent time in Colo Springs, only passed through, but I hear it's pretty Trumpy.

PhillyPhreak54

Yeah I had two days in Denver and I dug the vibe a lot. The sports bar I went to Sunday was downtown and the bartender was from Villanova.

We spent some time downtown and had lunch at some cafe Monday and it was cool.

In Colorado Springs I haven't interacted with any locals other than the steakhouse employees last night and the workers at this resort we have the convention at. But it wouldn't shock me if it was Trumpy.

I wish I had time to go west of Denver a bit to see more of the mountains.
