Title: Mobile theme
Post by: General_Failure on September 10, 2018, 10:06:35 PM
This software still doesn't come standard with a theme that's useful for tablets and phones in the year 2018, so I'm trying some things out. Today I installed a theme that mimics iOS, and adds some of the functionality of that. I don't know if that actually works, I don't have any Apple stuff and haven't ever used it.

You may have noticed it today, as it seems to pop up by default with a link at the bottom to go back to the usual theme. I'll keep looking for something that's useful and not an eyesore.

Still looks the same to me

Do I need to log out and back in?

It might actually have been showing up only for me because I tested the theme and never changed it back. Go into your Look and Layout options on your Profile. There should be an option to change it right at the top.

Something is keeping it set on one theme for mobile. I can fix it, probably. I just have to think back a decade or two to remember what I was doing when I was setting things up.

Alright, I think I got this sorted out. I uninstalled the old mobile theme and added a new one. The iOS-based one was cleaner, but longer names got smooshed into the posts and it looks terrible. I'll sort out the color scheme on it at some point, but unless there's any objections we'll stick with it.

Only 11 years late, but still sooner than an Andy Reid Super Bowl. Kill me.
