tons of music too.  Its time for me to switch to a Mac in the next year.  As far as a Mac, how easy is it to do upgrades?

The Imac's don't offer a lot of upgrade ability, although you can do stuff like RAM. The Macbook's are pretty much the same as well, RAM. The Mac Pro you can upgrade to your heart's content. One of the big things about a MAC is that they run a file system very similar to Linux, so it's generally much more efficent than a Microsoft OS based file system (FAT or NTFS). Also the Mac operating system usually doesn't tend to get forgetful and slow after a few years. Also, with Leopard, the newest Mac OS, it comes with a great utility called BootCamp that will allow you to install Windows XP or Vista on the hard drive as well, to make the conversion a little easier.

OK, stupid Outlook question.

I've always used OE or Eudora and since my OE crashed, I had to import everything into Outlook 2003 and I am stuck here.

Why, when I try to delete something, does it just put a little cross out across the email and not actually delete it from the folder? I cannot get rid of this and its totally overloading my inbox.

Can someone help here?

hmmm...found this on another site:

QuoteI've used IMAP for various periods of time over the past few years. It works ok for incoming mail, but I generally move my messages to a PST or Exchange folder when I want to save them. The most annoying behavior to me is the fact that when you delete/move a message, it does not disappear. Rather, it gets "crossed-out" until you remember to click the Edit menu and select "Purge Deleted Messages" or whatever its called.

Sounds like you might need to switch your Outlook profile to POP3 if you're connecting to Comcast or Verizon or whatever you're using....unless you feel like purging all the time

Technically, I need an electronics geek.

I have video on my mom's digital camera, and can't get it to play on my Samsung LNT5265 TV.  I can see the digital pictures, but can't find the video that is on the same card.  When using my camera, I can see pics and videos.

The connection is directly from the camera into the USB port.

I'll hang up and listen now.

Im pretty sure you need audio and video cables with the digital cameras (yellow and red)

Sassy's fine, but they blocked CF at his work (although he still plays Fatal Combat all day from work  :-D ), but I know he's moving out to Cali right about now.  He and hbionic are going to have amazing buttsecks for months and months.

He's actually on FC right now...so he's not on the road.
