Munson

We drove right along the coast there on our road trip, through the beach towns and such. It was a Monday IIRC so all the beaches were completely empty.

Can't see a lot of the houses we saw making it through this.

And there were a shteinton of waffle houses

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Another ridiculous day in southeast Texas for rainfall. Upwards of 40" outside the city. We are on the west side and it barely rained here compared to the rest of the city.

Two "thousand year" rainfall events in two years. Ho hum nbd.

When I got home at 7:30 it was 77 degrees and disgustingly humid.

It's now 59 and a gorgeous cool breeze is blowing through the windows.

Fall has finally made it to Hellacious Acres.  Say hallelujah say amen.

PhillyPhreak54

Soak it up.

Same happened here yesterday. We have had cooler days prior though. It was in the 70s and then overnight dropped into the 30s.

Trips me out still how big the cold weather is on the news.

Geowhizzer

Down to a frigid 69 degrees here, and we'll "only" top out at 80 tomorrow.

Mid-70s through the weekend, though.  That's nice.

We are getting clobbered by Christobal right now.  Wow.  And we're several hundred miles east.

Lol.  Not quite yet, pally.

We had two hours of tornado warnings.  They're supposed to continue on through the night.  The lightning storms over the ocean are freaking incredible to see.

Actually drier for us today that the past week.  Went from fire warnings to flood warnings in the speed of a Thanos snap.

Batten down the hatches, Rome.  Looks like Isaias is heading your way.

We're getting it a bit.  We'll see how it goes but tomorrow night won't be much fun.  We lose power if a butterfly flaps its wings but we have a generator so it's not awful once it passes.  The entire east coast is getting this bitch, though.  We're just first in line.
