Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Oh I care about his career. Every malformed thought he writes that sneaks into print brings our population closer to full retard saturation.

That article angers me.

Yes the kids are dumb. They're getting dumber.

But the parents and teachers are the ones letting it happen. Sht there are a lot of stupid people out there. Try talking geography with someone, even geography of our own country and you're likely to be met with a blank stare.

I can't completely buy into this. Every generation thinks that the younger generation is dumber and lazier than their own. Once upon a time radio was making kids dumber because they could listen to a story instead of reading it. Then tv made kids dumb by sucking them in with all the visual effects. Atari and Nintendo made me lazy as a kid and now the Internet and testing and facebook will do us in.

Bullshtein. If we are getting dumber and dumber, then how do we continue to keep inventing better stuff?

Have you spoken to a teenager lately? Seen the test scores and articles on how ridiculous the education system is now? Awful.

Not everyone gets dumber. The gap continues to increase between average intelligence and smart enough to invent a portable music player that makes waffles and conveniently fits up your ass.

I have a teenage daughter. She's got straight A's and goes to public school.

Good for her. I am glad she takes her academics seriously.

Unfortunately I believe she is one of the few who do.

It's all socioeconomic phreak...if you live in a middle class neighborhood and go to a middle class school, you tend to perform better because the district can afford better teachers, better supplies, etc

So when you look at the fact that the majority of Americans are either right at or below that middle class area.....well you get the idea.

NCLB has been a failure mostly because the idea that a standardized test can determine progress and/or efficiency is hilariously wrong. So schools get closed down and/or teachers get let go because of these dumb tests that the students know by the time they get to 5th or 6th grade don't mean shtein. I stopped "trying" on that thing when i was like 11 and so did almost everyone I knew. Some kids would just sleep through it. I still did it and got good grades on it because I like tests but still. There was shtein on those tests I didn't know, and I was constantly in the 97th and 98th percentiles. So what about the kids in the classes below me, or even more so the special education students that took the same damn test as everyone else?

I could go on forever but I won't.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Attractive woman still breastfeeds her 6 year old.

I think that's cool because pretty soon the kid will be able to breastfeed and jerk off at the same time. You don't see that in the restaurant every day. And no need for porn as long as moms around.
